Insurance that covers physical loss or damage to real and personal property. Such coverage may be comprised of but not limited to building, contents (desks, chairs, filing cabinets, supplies, etc.), computers, copy machine, fax machine, fine arts, business interruption, and extra expense.

3. LIABILITY INSURANCE

 
Insurance that generally covers the cost of defense as well as damages that the insured is legally obligated to pay as a result of their negligence.
There are many types of liability insurance covering bodily injury or property damage to another person(s). Some of these include premises and operations, products and completed operations, personal injury and advertising, fire legal, contractual and host liquor.

4. FIDUCIARY LIABILITY

 
Insurance that covers errors and omissions for those who act as trustees or administrators of pension, profit sharing, 401K, health and welfare, and legal services plans.

5. DIRECTOR’S AND OFFICER’S LIABILITY

 
Insurance that covers the directors and officers of a corporation (profit or non-profit) for negligence or claims brought against them due to their actions while acting as a director or officer.

6. UNION LIABILITY

 

Insurance that provides protection for damages, judgments, defense and settlement costs arising from alleged wrongful acts of a union or its representatives. Optional Labor Leader’s coverage covers defense costs incurred by union officers or employees in cases where federal laws prohibit a union from paying for the defense of its union officials.

7. PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY

 
Insurance that protects professionals (i.e., lawyer, doctor, insurance professional, investment advisor, realtor, consultant, etc.) against claims for negligent acts, errors or omissions in the conduct of their professional business, improper actions or failure to exercise proper skills by a professional.

8. LIQUOR LAW LIABILITY

 
While the laws vary by state, the coverage protects owners or operators of an establishment against claims brought against them for injury or damage caused to or by an intoxicated person through the sale of alcoholic beverages

9. BONDING

 
There are numerous types of bonds, however, most insurance bonds are fidelity and surety which are normally three-party contracts in which one party agrees to guarantee the acts, performance or behavior of a second party to a third party.

10. BOILER AND MACHINERY

 
Insurance that protects against loss from disruption of boilers and machinery by an insured peril, often known as machinery breakdown insurance.

11. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

 
Insurance that is generally provided as an employee benefit which may consist of but not be limited to Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Short & Long-Term Disability, Medical, Dental, Vision, Legal, etc.

12. AUTOMOBILE

 
Insurance generally covers damage to the vehicle insured for collision as well as comprehensive losses, liability of the owner (or lessee), uninsured and underinsured coverage (depending upon the given State), and may provide medical, disability or death benefits.

13. WORKERS’ COMPENSATION

 
Provides income and medical benefits to an injured worker. Benefits and laws vary by State.

14. UMBRELLA

 
Provides excess liability coverage generally on top of General Liability, Automobile and Workers’ Compensation policies.

15. FLOOD AND EARTHQUAKE

 
Provides property coverage in the event of damage caused by a flood or by an earthquake. Coverage may be provided as part of a commercial package or property policy or may need to be purchased separately.
